Social Events Committee

  • Provide instruction for tournament volunteers.

Facilities Committee

  • Evaluate facility and court needs.
  • Develop a plan for court expansion.
  • Develop long range facility plan.
  • Be a community partner and resource for Pickleball needs.
  • Review maintenance schedules with the city and schedule court repairs as
    needed.
  • Provide leadership to Capital Campaign initiative.

Marketing/Communications Committee

  • Promote association.
  • Oversee local media, social media, and website content.
  • Assist with member newsletter, court sponsorships, merchandise sales and
    distribution.
  • Serve as communication liaison between APA board and members.

Player Development Committee

Charter/role:

  • Create plan to develop all levels of players.
  • Develop paddle system to be approved by City of Alexandria.
  • Educate members of the availability of clinics, lessons and other Pickleball
    activities and events.
  • Provide leadership for organized play-round robins, special events, leagues
    and tournaments.
  • Assist with organizing intro lessons, skills and drills, development classes
    for all skill levels.

Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee

  • Develop fundraising campaign.
  • Oversee efforts to raise money.
  • Secure sponsors to support association events.
  • Nurture relationships with local businesses, community groups and
    schools.
  • Act as ambassadors to build awareness of the benefits of Pickleball in our
    community.
